Living in rural southeast Kansas, I've always been drawn to the simple things - dirt roads, open pastures, worn boots, pick-up trucks, sunsets over the pond, and families who feel most at home outside. Those are the moments that inspire the heart behind Ayla Johnson Photography.
Whether I'm photograhing a growing family, a high school senior, a western lifestyle brand, or a quiet in-between moment most people wouldn't even notice, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel like you. 
I want your photos to tell a story years from now. The way your little girl held your hand. The dust behind the horses. The laugh you didn't know someone captured. The real moments are always the ones that matter most. 
My sessions are a mix of guided posing and natural interaction because some of the best photographs happen in the moments between the poses. I never want you to feel stiff or uncomfortable in front of the camera. The best images come when you can simply slow down and enjoy the people you love.
Photography is more than pretty pictures to me - it's preserving memories that deserve to last.
